HSBC Global Asset Management appoints senior product specialist PDF Print E-mail

HSBC Global Asset Management has appointed David Wickham as director, senior product specialist, responsible for global emerging market equities. He reports to Melissa McDonald, global head of product, equity and responsible investment, and will focus on HSBC Global Asset Management's core global emerging markets capability.

McDonald said: "HSBC Global Asset Management is a leader in emerging markets with USD145bn invested in this asset class* and we recognise the importance of providing strong client support. In this role, David will work closely with the emerging market portfolio managers, enhancing client support by facilitating a strong and specialist level of information and communication."
 
Wickham has 15 years experience in financial services. Prior to joining HSBC, he was a Director of Private Equity Investments with Invesco Asset Management in London, where he managed the firm's non-US investment programme. He held a similar position prior to this at Insight Investment (now part of BNY Mellon Asset Management), focusing on private equity investments in Europe and the Americas.

Wickham holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and an MBA with distinction from the University of Oxford.
