AXA Nordic head of asset management appointed PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 30 August 2011 08:52

AXA Real Estate Investment Managers, a leading real estate fund and asset manager in Europe, has announced that it has appointed Henrik Bastman as Nordic Head of Asset Management.

Based in Stockholm and reporting to Alphons Spaninks, AXA Real Estate’s Regional Head of Property Services Group for Benelux and Nordics, he will be responsible for sourcing acquisitions and effecting appropriate disposals in the Nordics, in line with the best strategy for each client or fund mandate in the region. He will also oversee the in house team responsible for the delivery of asset management plans to maximise the value of individual properties.

Henrik joins from EFM, where he was head of Asset Management for the €1 billion Nordic Retail Fund, which has Cornerstone as the fund manager. Before that he spent seven years at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was an associate director in its Stockholm office, specialising in the retail market. He began his career in the banking sector at JP Morgan in London.

AXA Real Estate manages approximately €1 billion of assets across the Nordics, including a number of landmark properties such as Voimatalo, a 9,389 square meter m iconic eight storey office building located within Helsinki’s central business district and 27,000 square meter retail warehouse park Hansa City in Kalmar.

Anne Kavanagh, AXA Real Estate’s Global Head of Property Services Group, said:
“Henrik’s extensive experience across the Nordic market, both in sourcing transactions and managing assets, will be of huge benefit to the team. His appointment underlines our strategy of having specialist in-house local teams working to ensure we maximise value from our assets on behalf of clients. I welcome him to the business and look forward to working with him to support the delivery of our plans in the region.”
